2012 honda cr-v suv
With 29 models in the crossover segment, the competition between vehicles is fierce. To make the 2012 Honda CRV stand out from the crowd, Honda has refined its best-selling SUV and dubbed it the "Super CR-V." The 2012 Honda CRV exterior features a bigger grille and a more sculpted body.

Standard Pandora integration and audio text messages
Following other competitors' lead, Honda has made a few tech features standard equipment on the CR-V. The CR-V LX base model now includes Bluetooth connectivity for hands-free calling, and all vehicles now include a rear-view camera and in-dash display to help visibility while in reverse. Pandora application integration is a standard feature in the 2012 Honda CR-V.

The EX-L trim adds leather seats, heated front passenger seats, and audio features. The navigation system is available at this trim level, as is the optional rear entertainment system. More convenient cargo space
The 2012 Honda CR-V's cargo floor is an inch lower than the previous generation's, which makes it easier to load groceries, luggage, and strollers. The 2012 Honda CR-V offers a new "one-touch" fold flat feature.
More power, better fuel economy
Unlike several other competitors, Honda offers only one power-train option for the CR-V: a 2.4-liter engine paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. The 2012 Honda CR-V offers Eco Assist to help coach drivers on more efficient driving.
For comparison's sake, the 2012 Toyota Rav4 achieves 22 city/28 mpg on FWD models and 21 city/27 mpg 4WD models, while Ford's Escape offers only 21/23
(six-speed automatic).
To appeal to fuel misers, the CR-V also offers standard Eco Assist and Econ mode. The CR-V offered a smooth yet nimble ride for a crossover, but it definitely won't feel like you're driving a sedan. Front-wheel-drive CR-Vs now get 23 mpg in the city and 31 on the highway, while models with the optional full-time all-wheel-drive are rated at 22 mpg and 30 mpg, respectively.
The CR-V's power is just enough for nearly any kind of daily driving you'll encounter. The CR-V's only shortcoming on the road is the gearing of the automatic transmission. Ford's Escape finally knocked the CR-V off its throne in 2011. This hurt sales of many of its vehicles, including the previous CR-V.
The rest of the CR-V's interior is straightforward and adorned only by necessity. Seating in the CR-V is a comfortable affair, if you're up front. But the rear seats and their church-pew flat seat backs left a little to be desired over long rides. Also nifty is an all-new flip-and-fold feature for the rear seats that's standard on all CR-Vs. The result is an almost flat cargo area that swallows just under 71 cubic feet of gear, a small decrease from the previous CR-V.
It too is a more complete, mature look versus the previous CR-V. Safety features on all CR-Vs includes six air bags, traction control, anti-lock brakes and a tire pressure monitoring system.
