Acura ILX Sedan Spy Photos, Including Interior 2013

The Acura ILX Sedan Spy Photos, Including Interior 2013 concept, which appeared in January in Detroit, was an exterior buck with no interior. Surprise, surprise: The interior is pretty standard Acura stuff. The button-smothered center stack borrows a few pieces from the Honda Civic—it shares a basic platform with the ILX—including the climate-control knobs at the bottom. The pictures don’t convey material or assembly quality, but we hope significant attention has been given to the ILX’s cabin:

The cheap-feeling interior in the ILX’s Civic sibling is a big disappointment. That hopefully bodes well for the ILX’s trappings.
Acura previously announced that the ILX would get three powertrain configurations. Finally, an ILX hybrid will be offered and borrow its 1.5-liter four from the Civic hybrid; the electric motor probably will be shared with the Honda, too. Exact specs for the three powerplants should accompany the car’s official debut.

This car should be attractive to the Millennial yuppies that Acura’s trying to court.
Check back on February 8 and 9 for our live coverage of the ILX and the rest of the debuts from the Chicago show floor.
Honda observed us—and the rest of the car-buying public—and is quickly-tracking updates mentioned to enrich the experience. That ideally bodes nicely for the ILX’s trappings. Acura previously introduced that the ILX would get three powertrain configurations.

Acura NSX Concept 2012

                                                                      2012 Acura NSX Concept

The 2012 Acura NSX Concept  that never came to fruition was a V-10-powered, front-engine, very expensive supercar of a different feather. Powered by a direct-injection VTEC V-6 engine paired with a Sport Hybrid drive system that uses a pair of electric motors.

at the front combined with a Bilateral Torque Adjustable Control System and a dual-clutch gearbox-mounted electric motor, the NSX's mid-engine, SH-AWD all-wheel-drive layout is borderline supercar territory in specification, not far off Porsche's 918 Spyder.

Acura hasn't revealed the car's weight, power, or other specifications, but does says that "While most super cars opt for brute force delivered from a large engine, the NSX Concept champions the true racing philosophy of an extremely favorable power-to-weight ratio.

The new NSX will be powered my a mid-mounted direct injection VTEC V6 engine which will utilize Acura’s hybrid super handling all wheel drive system. The V6 SH-AWD system will be paired with a dual clutch transmission outfitted with its own electric motor giving the NSX three separate electric power plants.

Not only does the concept revealed in Detroit preview the future NSX supercar, it also presents the first application of Acura’s innovative new Sport Hybrid SH-AWD (Super Handling All Wheel Drive) system.

Like the first NSX, we will again express high performance through engineering efficiency," added Ito, who led the development of Acura’s first NSX supercar. More details will surely be revealed on the Acura NSX Concept sometime during the 2012 Acura NSX Concept , so stay tuned!
