Hummer HX/H4 on Transformers 2 Movie Set The Hummer HX or H4 was recently photographed on the set of Transformers 2 movie. To help ensure the correct design for the Hummer brand, the designers were given limited design direction by Carl Zipfel, an ex-professional motocross racer and director of the HUMMER design studio.
David, Min Young and Robert's collaboration inspired by Hummer HX concept, which presents extraordinary efficiency without sacrificing the unique essence of the Hummer brand, the world's most capable off-road vehicles.


After three months of sketching and sculpting theme work for the new HUMMER concept, each designer has the opportunity to present scale clay models to Bob Lutz, GM vice chairman and Ed Welburn, who chose which design would ultimately become the HX concept.


Frame H3 is modified to accept the V-8 engine, and a special oil pan was designed to ensure constant oil pressure when driving on steep grade - a hallmark of HUMMER off-road capabilities it. "Our engineers live, breathe and eat off-road," said Walsh. A HUMMER by any measure
All H3 models pack HUMMER's trademark capability into a package medium. Compared to H2, H3 is 16.9 inches (429 mm) shorter in length, six inches (152 mm) shorter height and 6.5 inches (165 mm) narrower.
